ABSTRACT
IN DISCUSSING the routine for classifying and disposing of interview material it was pointed out that the analyzing department, although it served at first mainly as a clearinghouse for incoming interviews, had accumulated in its own files data to be used for study purposes. With this material the present chapter will be concerned. The arrangement of this material had been dictated primarily by the plan for investigating complaints outlined in Chapter X, and for this reason it is well to understand the nature and limitations of these data.
