ABSTRACT
In the first chapter the key concepts of chemical kinetics were introduced. All of these concepts are applicable to the chemical reactions which occur inside living organisms. However, a prominent feature of such biochemical reactions is that they tend to be catalyzed by proteins called enzymes. The involvement of enzymes in biochemical reactions adds some special features to the kinetics of biochemical reactions.
