ABSTRACT
The IEEE Glossary of Software Engineering Terminology (IEEE-STD 610.12) does not actually have a definition of methodology, which is quite surprising given the importance of the subject and the amount of copy it generates. The closest IEEE’s Glossary comes is method standard, which really is not the same thing.
