ABSTRACT
As discussed at various points in this book, standards are important when conducting a security assessment. Standards have typically been developed by a wide range of people and have gone through the scrutiny of practitioners and as a result, have been accepted. Depending on the nature and scope of the security assessment and what the client wants, different standards might be appropriate. This chapter discusses some of the widely known standards in use today.
