Multivessel intervention in the setting of acute myocardial infarction is indicated in patients with severe left ventricular dysfunction. Particularly, in patients with cardiogenic shock, severe stenosis of vessels other than the infarctrelated artery may be flow-limiting, producing ischemia of remote ventricular regions and resulting in further deterioration of hemodynamic status.
