ABSTRACT

Indications for ovarian tissue cryobanking Certain malignancies of young adults and children, such as Hodgkin’s lymphoma or Wilms’ tumor or sarcoma in its early stages, are suitable for ovarian tissue banking because of the extremely low risk of ovarian metastases and good prognosis. However, disseminated or systemic malignancies, such as leukemia or advancnd sarcoma, may be better excluded unless reliable screening methods become available or until follicle culture techniques are perfected.
