ABSTRACT
Sports are a reflection of society and, as such, are not free from discrimination, despite the fact that the right to be protected from all forms of discrimination is one of the most fundamental human rights and is recognized as an essential principle by all major international human rights treaties. This right is deeply rooted in the belief that every individual is equal under the law and receives equal protection and access to services from the state without discrimination.
