ABSTRACT
Genesis, the first book in the Jews’ Hebrew Bible, states that in the course of six days God made heaven and earth, and created “Man in His image.” Then on the seventh day God rested, and this has been known ever since as the Sabbath. When Moses received the Ten Commandments, God again commanded the Israelites, “Remember the Sabbath, and keep it holy.”
