ABSTRACT
Lesions confined to large parts of one or another lobe of a cerebral hemisphere give opportunity for discovering the functions of the missing zones. Many of these lesions have resulted from operative excision of damaged cerebral cortex, so there is a fairly accurate location of the excised area.
