ABSTRACT

One of the realities of working in digital environment is that it’s easy to copy and move files. Although having the ability to share files easily with others has huge advantages, you can also make a giant mess. There are a number of technological schemes for version control, and depending on the environment that you’re working in, it may be a good idea to adopt one of them. Those specific platforms are outside of the realm of this book, but I want to address some basic problems and tendencies that may help you make better decisions about version control practices.
