The politics of technology: routinization and management and union strategies

With the large-scale introduction of micro-electronics in western industry, the old discussion of technological change and its impact on work has reached a second ‘boom’. Although quite identical sounds could be heard in the late 1950s and early 1960s, the macro-economic climate and the particularities of the new technology brought a totally new dimension in this impact debate.
