ABSTRACT
Environmental justice can refer to (1) a social movement concerned with issues of uneven distribution of environmental risks and burdens generated by industrial societies and to (2) a theory of justice that focuses on environmental concerns (Dryzek 1977). This entry looks at the second interpretation of environmental justice and at various justice issues related to the global environment.
