Before taking your next steps in teaching you might find it helpful to look back at what led you into teaching, your special contribution to teaching and how you are going to sustain your commitment in the future. This first chapter will help you:
• reflect on your motivation to teach; • identify how your understanding of teaching has changed; • consider the importance of personal values in teaching.
