ABSTRACT

Life, for me, has been a set of fascinating serial paths or chapters, driven not so much by a singular vision than by curiosity, ambition, and tremendous opportunities largely provided by social change, as well as much good luck. I think of myself as a bumblebee, spreading “pollen” in the form of new and good ideas and findings, in this case for research on adolescence. While I have contributed some modest discoveries, I believe that facilitating the exchange of scientific ideas and results has been my greatest contribution to the study of adolescence.
