ABSTRACT
In short, through creativity, observation, reflection, and the use of simple, low-tech tools,
the act of sketching allows us to analyze, dissect, and emotionally connect with the built
environment. As we have also learned in The Art of City Sketching, sketching is more than
just a drawing skill: it is more thoroughly a way of thinking.
