The joint work of Deleuze & Guattari is marked by a number of distinctive features and thematic concerns that must necessarily inform and be refl ected in any commentary on their work. This book is an introductory account of the joint work of Deleuze & Guattari, and a discussion of its relation to issues of legality and social organisation. However, it is also marked by an attempt to draw forward and dramatise these distinctive features and thematic concerns of Deleuze & Guattari and to produce a commentary that foregrounds their distinctiveness and novelty. Before providing an overview of the chapters of this book, the introduction will therefore fi rst draw out some of the distinctive features and thematic concerns with the purpose of both introducing Deleuze & Guattari but also introducing what to expect from the concerns and composition of this book in so far as it seeks to draw out and dramatise these features and thematic concerns.
