ABSTRACT
In addition to the day-to-day running of the farm, and the challenge of staying on good terms with the weather and the season, it is necessary to have a management perspective on the undertakings. A farm is more than acreage, animals, buildings and technologies; it is a system where production, economy, human resources and external forces interact, and this system has to be planned, organized, directed and controlled.
