The words ‘quality enhancement’ (QE), individually and collectively, provoke diverse conceptions in the minds of various stakeholders, and it is no different when they are used in the higher education (HE) context. This is to be expected, because QE in HE can serve a multiplicity of purposes, and it is one such stakeholder purpose that compelled policymakers and universities to focus on QE in HE in Sri Lanka.
