ABSTRACT

It's only when we are surrounded by darkness that we see the light. Without the dark, the light would not shine as bright. During this month the nights draw in and a veil of darkness settles on the land. But despite the cold days and gloomy nights, it's a time of celebration, of fiery warmth and dazzling light. Most of the celebrations and festivals this month use light to their advantage, illuminating the world with knowledge, joy and abundance. Take inspiration from this in your activities and build in some light and dark. Celebrate the good things in life and rejoice in the darkness. Go for gold, and all things that glitter and bring some warmth into the classroom whilst helping the children feel empowered.
