ABSTRACT
Public international law leaves each State to decide on the relationship between its municipal law and international law. In respect of this relationship, two main theories: dualism and monism have infl uenced national constitutional law with regard to the application of international law by municipal courts and other domestic bodies. There are many variations of dualism and monism685 but the basic theoretical postulations of each theory can be summarized as follows.
