ABSTRACT

Until recently exobiology referred to the study of life in places other than Earth itself. Today, the terms of astrobiology and bioastronomy refer to the same field. These disciplines are close to space biology, the purpose of which goes beyond the mere observation and analysis of organisms launched into space. Space biology also aims to explore the possibility of extraterrestrial life. It is conceivable that other organisms could have developed in surroundings completely different from ours.
