ABSTRACT
Justine Burns is Senior Lecturer in the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town. She has a PhD in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and teaches courses in microeconomics, computational political economy, and behavioral economics. Her primary research has employed experimental economics to study the impact of racial identity on social exchange. In addition, her work has also investigated the role of family background and neighborhood effects on schooling outcomes.
