“The Rest is Silence . . .”: Polish Nationalism and the Question of Lesbian Existence

In order to establish a national identity, an authority uses different discursive tools and deploys various rhetorical styles. Hence, the concept of the nation is reflected in language and popular images/symbols of nations. Although it is important to investigate the content of these images, it seems to be even more indispensable to study what has been excluded and the reasons why some images have been chosen instead of others.
