ABSTRACT
Duplex-guided angioplasty is an alternative to conventional angioplasty techniques, utilizing the same wires and catheters as conventional techniques and, in place of a radiographer and screening equipment, simply requires a good colour duplex ultrasound machine and a competent vascular technologist/sonographer. However, the technique is not as widely applicable as conventional techniques.
