ABSTRACT
With the increasing trend for vascular procedures to be dealt with by endovascular techniques, the necessity of surgeons to become proficient in endovascular surgery becomes more obvious. The question is not whether this is necessary, but how to achieve it. Most vascular societies throughout the world are now trying to evolve programmes for training and recognition.1
