• Morbistic rituals
With his poetic exploration of 'archetypal medicine', Alfred Ziegler subverts our assumptions about the 'healing arts' and the 'solar' or 'Apollonian' zeal with which we attempt to annihilate the forces of disease. This chapter, which explores the notions 'morbism' and 'sanism', is drawn from a lecture given at the 1986 Dartington Conference. It should be read with an eye and an ear for image.
