ABSTRACT

The authors institute specializes in the treatment of chronic infected forms of pseudoarthrosis and therefore of generally infected pseudoarthrosis. The institution was set-up in 1932 by Professor Vittorio Putti, who wanted it for this purpose, in collaboration with the Rizzoli Institute of Bologna. It remained in partnership until 1980 when it was taken over by the Veneto Region remaining, however, an important referral centre for infected pathologies.
