Only now do we start talking of gestures. Only when the body is well involved in action. There is a tendency for actors to rely on gestures without the body. This can lead to very external acting – still, unexpressive bodies with wild, windmill actions. Although this might be useful in comic situations, it normally looks artificial and dishonest.
