ABSTRACT

At Arup, I am known as the foresight and innovation guy. My job is to constantly try to push our sights forward while I am being bombarded with the reality of our practice. But in the terms of this volume, I am going to play a bit of the contemporary guy. I am going to step into this role in order to help frame some contexts for us to begin to be able to build a bit of an understanding of where our practice is, and is heading, with performance-based design.
