ABSTRACT
This chapter gives some basic information for beginners about the limitations of data gathering. Chapter 4 outlines the information to be gathered about the physical environment. Chapter 5 comprises the information about the natural (the living) environment and Chapter 6 covers aspects of the social environment-that is people’s present use of the site and the adjacent land and how this affects the landscape.
