ABSTRACT
Gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT) is a technique of reproductive assistance with a proven success rate in patients with patent tubes. In contrast to in vitro fertilization (IVF), in GIFT procedures oocytes and spermatozoa are transferred together into the fallopian tubes, where fertilization occurs immediately after eggs retrieval.
