Revelation Post-al Superheroes

I copy this epigraph and want to sniff like a Nancy Mitford nanny, “Very silly, dear!” But to do that would be to miss Klock’s joke, which I assume is intentional. His whole study is steeped in postmodern jargon, quoting abundantly from postmodern sources, and, in its multifocal eclecticism (citing the left from A to Z-Althusser to Ziz˘ek, anyway-and the right as bulkily embodied in Harold Bloom). In short, the dude has written a postmodern critical study of a phenomenon to which he applies only an ordinal label, on the grounds that calling it postmodern would be “tedious.” He’s got to be kidding-doesn’t he?
