ABSTRACT
For third-waver Veronica Chambers, feminism promises ‘a context for my political existence. A vocabulary for my situation. An agenda to empower myself and others’ (1995: 21). This promise lies in the power of feminism to represent our social world differently, and so to know our relation to ourselves and our others differently. How feminist knowledges symbolize a different and better world is a central question for feminist epistemology.
