ABSTRACT
Jane Prophet is internationally established as an artist and writer. Among the bestknown of her wide ranging works are the projects ‘TechnoSphere’, a virtual worldinhabited by thousands of digital creatures‚ which ran as an Internet project from 1995 till 2003, and was arguably one of the first artist-led web projects in the UK, and ‘Decoy’ (2001), a series that looked at the cultivated English landscape in which trees ‘grew’, and the landscape took on new shapes.
