ABSTRACT
In view of the potentially severe consequences of atmospheric conditions such as windshear during take-off and landing of aircraft, there has been and continues to be considerable interest in designing aircraft guidance schemes (possibly for use with an autopilot) to enhance the chances for survival when encountering windshear.
