ABSTRACT

International students add diversity to university classrooms because they bring with them an assortment of previous learning experiences, diverse views of the world and, in many cases, experiences of communicating and studying in more than one language. Therefore their presence in our classrooms can be a catalyst for very dynamic teaching situations. A major challenge for educators in international classrooms is finding ways to guide students from diverse backgrounds to successful attainment of the learning outcomes for any particular course or programme of study.
