ABSTRACT
Digital Video (DV) is essentially the digital version of the video we are all familiar with, usually recorded on DV tape cassettes. Its main advantage is that it is much higher quality than its analogue forebear; good enough, in fact, for television broadcast and for use in the film industry, where it is rapidly becoming the medium of choice for low-budget independent film-makers.
