ABSTRACT

Each child is unique and different. S/he comes to school from a background from which s/he has already learned a good deal. Infant school teachers have the difficult job of trying to provide for a class of children who all have different amounts of knowledge already, different learning abilities and styles, and different cultural and social backgrounds. Schools must do their best to provide equal opportunities for learning for all children, regardless of all these differences. Your school should have an equal opportunities policy and you should make yourself familiar with this.
