ABSTRACT

When you make an application for the post, you should be given full details of what will be required of you. The information sent to you should also have details of your hours of work and salary. There should be a job description and some indication of the kind of person the school is hoping to appoint, the sorts of experience they are looking for and the kinds of qualifications and skills they are seeking. They will be looking for someone who enjoys being with children and it will be something of an advantage to have been a parent. They will certainly want someone with good English and numeracy skills, and will be looking for GCSEs or similar qualifications in these subjects.
