ABSTRACT

After graduating with a master’s degree in instructional design, Jackie Adams accepted an instructional design position with a federally funded project at a large university. As the instructional designer on the project, Jackie’s main responsibilities were to work with technical subject matter experts in the development, delivery, and evaluation of in-service faculty education. The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education (AMTE) project was a new venture, which meant that Jackie would be clarifying her job at the same time she was developing the in-service faculty education program. The first thing Jackie did was read the grant proposal and talk with her new boss, Ray DeMilo.
