ABSTRACT
The Beatles were good writers. Their lyrics and their music were dynamic, innovative, and exciting; they were precise and concise, and they had the rare ability to make complex musical and emotional ideas seem simple, obvious, and right. These are all qualities we try to bring out in the essays our students write. This chapter looks at how we can take the things we love in the Beatles and use them to make our students more astute and more exciting writers.
