ABSTRACT

In order to promote their policies the governments have created and used a number of institutions. Industrial policies were pushed by the industrial banks such as SIDF in Saudi Arabia and the Industrial Bank in Kuwait. Land policies were promoted by the Real Estate Bank in Saudi and in Kuwait. Agriculture was subsidized through the agricultural banks. The prominent institutions for the implementation of monetary policies were the central banks: the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, the Central Bank of Kuwait, and the Bahrain Monetary Agency. The amount of power wielded by these institutions is different in each of the three countries, but by far the most powerful is the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.
