ABSTRACT
Being concise is about knowing what you want to say and saying it clearly: readers have easy access to important points, and the writing sounds effortless. The irony, however, is that clear and concise writing takes effort to produce, and even seasoned writers struggle with their words until their thoughts become clear. As one writer said, “This would have been shorter if I had more time.”
