Do you realize the extent to which you use research daily? For example, every day you make decisions, and each decision starts with a question. On important issues, do you evaluate past experiences or ask others what they have done in similar situations? These types of inquiries are a rudimentary form of research, which is systematically investigating materials and resources to explain, predict, and/or control phenomena.1
