ABSTRACT
The introduction focuses on the theme and context of the book and it also provides a brief overview of the upcoming chapters. The theme of biodiversity in itself is a broad theme and the legal context of the book has been given an overview in various spheres of biodiversity regulation such as wetlands protection, marine biodiversity, traditional knowledge and biodiversity, role of indigenous people and women and so on.
