Finally, there is the fourth t y p e : women who were not frigid in the first years of married life and who became frigid as a conse-

quence of disharmonies, or because of love for some other object of craving. The cases are very interesting for our investigations, as we are able to see the different attitude toward the children that are born in the passionate period of marriage and the children of the icy period.
