ABSTRACT
NEARLY three million children between the ages of ten and fifteen are at work in the United States, according to a bulletin of the American Federation of Labor.
The manufacturers have defeated all attempts at a national amendment regulating child labor. Most of the states, however, have statutes which fix the minimum working age at fourteen.
