ABSTRACT
This chapter guides the reader to reflect on himself/herself in terms of personality and ability, and reflects on and explores the various careers. It presents more formal tools for assessing characteristics, abilities, values, and interests. The chapter reveals that there are more formal tools for assessing and describing information. It suggests a process for assessing the reader's current situation in depth. It takes the reader on a journey to formally assess his/her characteristics and values, and interests with some of the standard career exploration instruments in the field. The chapter takes the reader on a journey of reflection and preparation in terms of his/her career. It provides invaluable information about standardized tools for assessing the reader's characteristics, abilities, skills, interests, values, and beliefs in terms of career. Lastly, the chapter introduces information from about taking the steps to become a professional in the field of child and adolescent development.
