ABSTRACT
SEEING that the Law of Uniformity of Nature was wholly inadequate to justify induction, Keynes and Broad, independently, made a bold attempt to find a substitute. This interesting attempt is much more important than its predecessor and part of it at least should be developed in detail. It consists of two closely connected principles; but it will transpire on examination that four principles are involved.
