Modern theories: the technocratic view

An antithetical view to that of pluralism has been expressed by what may be referred to as the technocratic school of thought. In France, where the idea of technocracy has been most prominent, this phenomenon has been defmed as 'a political system in which the determining influence belongs to technicians of the administration and of the economy' .1 The technocratic school is that group of thinkers who believe that such a political system has in fact come into existence in modern society .2
